Dustin investigates a serious IT security incident  
Dustin Group has identified unauthorised access to some internal IT systems. The incident is considered serious and measures have been taken to limit the effects of the incident, including a temporary shutdown of certain systems. An investigation is ongoing, including investigations of a potential data breach, together with external cybersecurity experts.  

Dustin has taken measures to protect its IT environment and is in contact with relevant authorities. We are working to re-open the systems we proactively have shut down in a controlled and safe manner and our highest priority is to minimise the impact on our customers.

Following the IT security incident communicated on September 3, Dustin Group has begun the gradual opening of affected systems. The opening is being carried out in a controlled and secure manner, with the highest priority to minimise impact on customers.
As a result of the progress made, the entire order flow is now up and running. For the time being, customers can place orders via phone and email and the work with opening web and customer portals as soon as possible is ongoing.
The IT forensic investigation of the internal and administrative systems that were subject to unauthorised access is ongoing to identify what data was involved. Dustin maintains regular contact with affected customers and continues to provide them with updates as the situation develops.

Q: What kind of information does the potential personal data breach concern?  

A: As of now, we don’t have information if and what personal data has been compromised. We are currently, in collaboration with leading IT Security experts and forensics, intensively investigating potential impact. 

Q: What actions have been taken? 
A: To manage the incident, we immediately engaged leading cyber security experts for forensic analysis and containment of the incident. The incident has been reported to the relevant government authorities. A decision was taken to temporarily shut down certain systems with a clear plan for opening them up again as soon as possible.

Q: Do I as a customer have to take any action at this point? 

A: As of now, you don’t have to do anything. If or when actions are needed at your end, you will be properly informed.  

Q: Has this incident been reported to the data protection authority? 

A: Dustin has submitted an initial notification about the potential personal data breach to the Swedish data protection authority Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten ("IMY"). 

Q: Will this incident impact deliveries? 

A: The temporary shutdown of certain systems will impact deliveries from our fulfillment centers.  

Q: Will this incident impact placement of orders? 

A: Yes, the temporary shutdown of certain systems will impact the ability to place and receive orders.
